About the Role:

Key Responsibilities

Deliver High-Quality Maths Lessons: Plan and teach engaging, comprehensive lessons that cover key mathematical concepts, fostering student understanding and curiosity.

Create an Inclusive Learning Environment: Establish a classroom culture that encourages questioning, collaboration, and a positive approach to problem-solving.

Monitor and Assess Progress: Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth and confidence in maths.

Collaborate with Colleagues: Share best practices and contribute to the development of the maths department, ensuring a cohesive approach to teaching.

Support Extracurricular Activities: Participate in maths-related extracurricular activities or clubs that encourage students to further explore and apply their mathematical skills.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Degree in Mathematics or a related field.

Teaching Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is preferred.

Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level.

Skills: Strong communication and classroom management skills, with a passion for mathematics education.

Additional Requirements: An Enhanced DBS on the update service.
