About the Role:
The school is seeking a creative and dedicated Drama Teacher to join its expressive arts department. The successful candidate will bring a strong passion for the performing arts, the ability to inspire students of all abilities, and a commitment to fostering confidence and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and Deliver Inspiring Drama Lessons: Teach a comprehensive drama curriculum, guiding students through performance techniques, character exploration, and script interpretation.
Create an Inclusive and Engaging Classroom: Build a classroom environment that encourages self-expression, respect for diverse perspectives, and collaborative learning.
Monitor and Assess Student Development: Provide constructive feedback on student performances and progress, supporting their academic and personal growth.
Collaborate with Colleagues: Share best practices within the department, contributing to the growth and success of the arts program.
Lead or Support Extracurricular Drama Activities: Engage in drama-related extracurricular activities, such as school productions or drama clubs, offering students opportunities to extend their skills beyond the classroom.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.
Teaching Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is preferred.
Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching drama at the secondary school level.
Skills: Excellent communication, classroom management, and a passion for the performing arts.
Additional Requirements: An Enhanced DBS on the update service.
