Sub Agent - Major Infrastructure Project - Plymouth
Randstad are recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major infrastructure project at Devonport Docks in Plymouth. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a critical project with a leading contractor.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Site Agent in overseeing all aspects of the project, including planning, coordination, and execution of works.
* Manage and supervise a team of site staff, including engineers, technicians, and operatives.
* Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
* Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Identify and manage potential risks and issues, proposing solutions and corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and safety records.
Essential Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Sub Agent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* A strong understanding of construction methods and processes, particularly within the infrastructure sector.
* Experience working on complex projects, ideally within a naval dockyard or similar environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience working with leading construction companies in the UK.
* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
* Experience with project management software.
