Our client, a leading player in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a skilled Site Supervisor to join their team for the development of an onshore wind farm in Galloway, Scotland. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract position, starting in December. The role will be pivotal in overseeing foundation construction, including roadworks and pavements, ensuring all contractors adhere to project specifications, design, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure that all civil, electrical, and turbine contractors adhere to the terms of signed contracts and comply with technical specifications, design requirements, and safety standards.
Oversee foundation construction activities, including roadworks, pavements, and associated civil works, ensuring they align with quality standards and project specifications.
Implement quality control measures, conduct routine site inspections, and verify that safety procedures are strictly followed by all on-site personnel.
Track and report on the project schedule, ensuring that contractors meet deadlines and that the project adheres to the established timeline.
Assess and confirm that all work meets technical design requirements and general specifications, proactively identifying and resolving any issues to maintain project integrity.
Act as a point of contact between contractors and project management teams, reporting progress, identifying potential risks, and ensuring that all parties are informed about on-site activities and requirements.
Job Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
Proven experience in a supervisory role in infrastructure, renewable energy, or similar projects, with hands-on experience in foundation construction, roadworks, and civil works.
Strong understanding of foundation construction, safety protocols, and technical specification adherence, especially related to onshore wind farm or renewable energy development.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills; ability to enforce safety, quality, and schedule requirements effectively.
Valid health and safety certification is preferred.
