Section Engineer Required for Prompt Start on Harker Substation Project in Carlisle, Cumbria

We are seeking a skilled Section Engineer to join the Harker Substation project in Carlisle, Cumbria. This role is essential for supporting the development and delivery of key infrastructure components, including reinforced concrete structures, groundworks, and steel-frame buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in setting out and surveying tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting Out and Surveying: Perform precise setting out and surveying for structures, ensuring alignment with design specifications and project requirements.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with Senior Engineers and site teams to maintain project timelines, supporting seamless transitions between phases of work.
• Quality Control: Monitor construction quality standards, conduct inspections, and proactively address any deviations to meet project specifications.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of progress, survey data, and quality checks, ensuring accurate and timely updates for project stakeholders.
• Health, Safety, and Compliance: Adhere to and enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring the safety of all personnel and site activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Background in construction with specific experience in reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame construction.
• Competence in setting out and surveying, with a strong understanding of construction design and layout.
• Attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
