Quality Systems Technician:
Pay rate: 17.44 p/h
Location: Daventry
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
Contract: 6 Months Minimum
To cover a leave of absence we're looking for a Quality Systems Technician to join the UKLC Quality team.
This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week) hybrid role. The team works onsite at least 3 days per week.
The initial assignment duration is 6 months, extension is possible.
Working hours: 8am - 4pm
For this role we're looking for candidates that have experience in:
QMS management and have done audits in a previous role.
International Standards familiarity, specifically ISO 9001, is required.
ISO (phone number removed) familiarity could serve as a back up in case of no ISO 9001.
A background in operations, manufacturing or logistics (manufacturing preferably due to ISO 9001) is preferable.
As a Quality Systems Technician your responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Planning, scheduling and leading internal audits
- Writing work instructions, policies and procedures
- Raising reports
- Raising corrective actions and following up with internal stakeholders

Job Summary:
Responsible of conducting internal audits (QMS, Manufacturing Process Audits, Product Audits) in an organization.
Plan and lead trainings, root cause analysis and resolution of non-conformances.
Demonstrate technical understanding of manufacturing processes, its risk analysis and control plans.
When needed help conduct PQC (Product Quality Council), pull together presentation of management review etc. Also conduct other QMS related activities needed to perform QMS processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the knowledge of relevant requirements based on internal changes (process and product technologies) and external changes (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AIAG core tools, and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR .
Able to perform audits with process based approach and risk based thinking. Gather and analyze information related to internal audit program and produce reports.
Initiate, approve and monitor corrective actions associated with the audit findings.
Own and maintain audit plan/schedule (for both ISO/IATF Internal Audits and Manufacturing Process Audits) document and audit records.
Plan, perform and lead (if that applies) different QMS audits (QMS, Mfg process audits, product) per ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 and issue OFIs and Non-Conformances as needed.
Participate in supporting, implementing, auditing and one-on-one training for AIAG Core Tools (FMEA, APQP, MSA, SPC, PPAP).
Auditors for Product Audits shall demonstrate competence in understanding product requirements (including applicable CSRs) and use of relevant measuring and test equipment to verify product conformity.
Provide help to lead Root Cause Analysis (3P5Y) for assigned Corrective Actions and train
stakeholders if needed.
Support documentation of the key processes of the business as contained in the business Quality Manual.
Help write and maintain Quality Manual for the business management system, documented procedures (or reference to them), and description(s) of the interactions between the key processes of the management system.
Manufacturing process auditors shall demonstrate technical understanding of the relevant
manufacturing process(es) which needs to be audited, including in-depth understanding of process risk analysis (such as PFMEA) and control plan.
Own and provide specific quality systems related education, i.e. QSi (or Ms Sharepoint) User Training, CQMS user Training.
If needed perform CQMS administrative duties - assign user access and generate MNCs/PNCs.
Identify GAPs with in the plant to the standard and work projects to close those GAPS.
Provide information, as necessary, to external auditors or Certification Bodies, complying with content, timing, and format requirements.
As needed, assist in the execution of PQC (Product Quality Council) meeting and/or Quality
management system meeting.
If needed, help compile PQC presentation, management review presentation, maintain page, and publish/record meeting minutes.
Support the development of input materials related to customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction,
scorecards, complaints, etc.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Associate degree or equivalent business experience. IATF 16949 + ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Trained. Six Sigma Green Belt trained and willing to work towards certification. AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, and MSA) trained
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Demonstrated ability to perform process based and risk based audits.
Initiated, approved and monitored corrective actions associated with audit findings.
Planned, performed and led different QMS audits based upon IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
Performed training on AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC and FMEA)
Performed Product Audits per applicable CSRs
Led 3P-5Whys root cause analysis
Provided support to documentation on the key processes per business quality manual
When conducted manufacturing process audits, demonstrated in-depth understanding of processes and associated risk analyses (FMEA and control plan)
Exhibited good understanding of QMS tools such as QSi, CQMS etc.
When needed performed CQMS admin training
