We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related construction skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth finish and high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, sanding, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
• Mix plaster materials to the correct consistency for application.
• Apply plaster using various techniques to achieve desired finishes on walls and ceilings.
• Repair damaged plasterwork and carry out maintenance tasks as required.
• Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, including carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure project completion.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Assist with masonry tasks when needed, including bricklaying or roofing work.

Skills

• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering and construction.
• Experience in masonry work is advantageous, including knowledge of bricklaying techniques.
• Ability to weld is a plus, adding versatility to the role.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to work at heights when necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
