We are partnered with a leading contractor delivering world class projects across a variety of sectors looking for an experienced HSE Manager. As HSE Manager you will be developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure robust environment, health, & safety measures on site, ensuring a secure working environment, leading the team in achieving safety goals & objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Lead the development of HSE Leadership & Culture in the workplace.
*
Ensure full compliance with local and national HSEQ legislation pertaining to the project construction phase and offices.
*
Develop project-specific health & safety strategies, programmes and plans in partnership with Group HSEQ.
*
Coordinate HSE programme elements addressing site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency arrangements.
*
Communicate and co-ordinate the adoption of industry best practices in health, safety & environment on all projects.
*
Establish a process of active HSE monitoring through audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities.
*
Monitor and report on HSE performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging health and safety performance indicators.
*
Support projects throughout their lifecycle from proposal, through design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, handover, and operational stages.
*
Provide specialist health, safety & environment, and wellbeing advice to management and project teams.
*
Ensure regulatory compliance with respect to latest occupational safety, health and welfare requirements for the business unit.
*
Ensure appropriate and effective emergency response, case management, incident investigation and reporting mechanisms are in place to facilitate learning from incidents (LFI).
*
5+ years' experience in HSE Management within construction with focus on pharmaceutical projects.
*
Degree in Health and Safety Management/ NEBOSH qualification.
*
Membership of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
*
Knowledgeable in updated HSE regulations, standards & best practices.
*
Proven communication skills and proficiency in HSE software & tools.
