JOB DESCRIPTION: Principal Education are seeking reliable, committed, and engaging teachers to work on a flexible supply basis, to meet the high volume of daily cover needs arising in our secondary schools. This work can be undertaken flexibly, working as often or as infrequently as you wish, aligning with your availability.
This work DOES NOT involve planning lessons, with limited responsibility for marking work – so, this is ideal for teachers seeking a stronger work-life balance, or with commitments to pursue outside of the classroom.Utilising our bespoke app, your ability to notify us of your availability to work, on any given day, has never been easier or more time friendly!
To be eligible for this role, you MUST:
Demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom.
Possess QTS, QTLS, or another recognised teaching qualification, entitling you to teach in the United Kingdom.
Be reliable and dependable, with the ability to accept supply bookings from 7 am in the morning with confidence of arriving at schools in a timely manner.
Possess strong behavioural and classroom management skills.
Be flexible and adaptable, willing and able to think on your feet.
Demonstrate patience, empathy, composure, and diligence; to help with building and maintaining an optimal and safe learning environment for vulnerable pupils.
Possess a recent, enhanced copy of a DBS – or be willing to obtain one from Principal Education.
Possess an overseas police clearance from any country that you have resided in for six months or more within the last five years, outside of the United Kingdom.
Be based in a London borough, or within commutable distance.
Pay rates for work as a supply teacher in our secondary schools typically range from £150 - £180 per day. NOTE: There will be scope to discuss increasing your daily pay rate, upon receipt of consistently positive feedback from our partner schools regarding your performance.
