SEN-TA – Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist
Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role:
In this role, you’ll work closely with children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who have ASD, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their social skills, and feel included in every aspect of school life. Your support will be critical in enabling these students to make accelerated progress and build confidence in themselves as learners and as members of the school community. Working alongside class teachers and other SEN specialists, you’ll help create a positive, engaging, and supportive atmosphere where each child can thrive.
Application Requirements:
• Prior experience working with children with ASD, particularly in a primary school setting.
• Relevant SEN qualifications or training (desirable).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A patient, caring approach and genuine passion for SEN education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to the specific needs of children with ASD.
• Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs.
• Promoting social interaction, emotional development, and independent learning.
• Observing and monitoring progress, adapting support as needed to meet targets.
• Assisting with sensory and behavioral needs to foster a calm and structured learning environment.
