Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role:
As our SEN TA specialising in SEMH needs, you will be an integral part of a supportive SEN team, working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your role will involve one-on-one and small group support, focusing on students with SEMH needs to help them achieve their individual goals. You’ll bring a calm, patient, and positive approach, guiding students through tailored interventions that build both confidence and essential life skills.
You will collaborate with teachers to adapt and deliver engaging activities, assisting students with academic learning and emotional resilience. Your empathetic approach will ensure that each child feels secure and empowered in their learning journey. In addition, you’ll work closely with families to ensure a well-rounded support system, fostering open communication and creating personalized strategies that make a true impact on each child’s progress.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs (required).
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in students’ lives.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in a primary school setting is preferred but not essential.
• Relevant SEN qualifications or willingness to undertake further training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted SEMH support to Key Stage 1 and 2 students through one-on-one and group sessions.
• Adapt learning materials and support learning goals in collaboration with classroom teachers and the SENCO.
• Monitor and record student progress, adapting techniques to best support individual needs.
• Foster students’ independence by teaching daily life skills and encouraging confidence.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals to maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
