Job Description

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Duration: 12 months

Location: Cheltenham (3 days on-site)

Rate: Up to 60/hour

Inside IR35 - Umbrella

Key Activities

• Mech design and drafting using Siemens NX + Windchill
• Ongoing Trade studies using Siemens NX Design for manufacture studies (
• Drafting of components and component choice
• Prototyping effort and initial testing of ideas

Qualifications / Requirements

• A recognised mechanical based engineering degree or suitable demonstrable level of industry experience.
• Significant experience of using Siemens NX along with a PLM system
• Understanding of such things as material science, GD&T and drafting
• Exposure to Sheet metal design together with machining, plastics part design, casting, electrical harness design and packaging of electronics.

Qualifications / Requirements

• relevant mech eng degree or relevant levels of experience
