Position: School HR Officer
Location: Plumstead (SE18)
School Type: Mixed, Secondary School
Contract Type: Full-time (Temo until December)
Start Date: Immediately
Experience: 1 year of admin/HR experience in a school is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage recruitment, job postings, interviews, and new staff inductions.
Employee Records: Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and ensure compliance with data protection laws.
Payroll & Benefits: Oversee payroll, employee benefits, and statutory deductions.
Training & Development: Support staff training, performance management, and professional development initiatives.
Employee Relations: Address staff concerns, handle grievances, and ensure compliance with school policies and employment law.
Compliance & Policies: Ensure compliance with employment laws, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations.
Staff Wellbeing: Promote staff well-being and retention through support programs and initiatives.
HR Reporting: Provide HR metrics and reports to school leadership.
General HR Support: Advise on HR matters, assist with workforce planning, and manage staff leave entitlements.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics is ESSENTIAL
