Team Description: Join our dynamic, locality-based multi-disciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care.

About the Role:
As an Occupational Therapist with Redbridge Council, you will manage a caseload of approximately 4 cases per week, providing holistic, person-centered assessments and support planning for individuals with a range of health conditions. You will be instrumental in recommending major adaptations and complex equipment solutions to enhance the well-being and independence of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and make recommendations for major adaptations and complex equipment, including preparing sketches and detailed specifications.
• Conduct holistic assessments and support planning in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
• Understand and navigate the legal social care framework and housing legislation.
• Manage, plan, prioritize, and progress complex cases effectively.
• Teach safe use of equipment in compliance with relevant legislation, policy, and guidelines.

Essential Requirements:

1. Proven expertise in assessing and recommending major adaptations and complex equipment, including manual handling techniques.
2. Experience working within a multi-professional team on complex occupational therapy assessments and support planning.
3. Knowledge of legal social care frameworks and housing legislation.
4. Strong case management skills with the ability to prioritize and progress complex cases.
5. Familiarity with assessing and recommending both simple and complex equipment, and ensuring safe usage.

Qualifications:

• Professional Occupational Therapy qualification recognized by the HCPC.
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary setting.
