Location: Essex (with travel to a second site 1 day a week)

Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Wards Pharmacist to join a well-established NHS trust in Essex. This is a fantastic role for a qualified pharmacist looking for an immediate start with a 3 to 6-month contract, offering a competitive hourly rate.

As a Band 7 Pharmacist, you will be working across a variety of wards, providing clinical pharmacy support to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines. You will also be required to travel to a second site one day a week (mileage will be reimbursed).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to ward areas, ensuring optimal use of medications.
• Work closely with healthcare teams to offer expert advice on pharmaceutical care.
• Review prescriptions and medication charts, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines.
• Provide patient counseling and medication reviews.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and support medicine management services.

Requirements:

• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Proven experience as a Band 7 Wards Pharmacist or in a similar clinical pharmacy role.
• Excellent communication and team-working skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Flexibility to travel to another site 1 day per week.
