Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £100 – £120 per day

About the role:
As an HLTA at our Colindale school, you’ll play an essential role in supporting both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes, working closely with the headteacher to assist SEN students and offer additional support as needed across the school. You’ll be a key figure in helping to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment, using your expertise to deliver engaging and effective lessons in the teacher’s absence, and working 1-on-1 or in small groups with students who may need extra support.
Your role will include preparing lesson resources, supporting the creative arts, and assisting with a broad range of classroom activities. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop your teaching skills in a highly supportive environment with ample professional development opportunities.
Application Requirements:
• Level 4 or above teaching assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working with Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 students.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Experience with SEN students is a plus.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting teachers in the delivery of lessons.
• Leading small group sessions and 1-on-1 interventions.
• Providing tailored support to SEN students as needed.
• Assisting in the preparation of classroom materials and lesson plans.
• Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
