Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant needed in Erdington!

Salary: £90 - £ 100 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a lovely Secondary SEMH school in Erdington supporting with their recruitment for a Behaviour Support Assistant. The setting is centred on pupil s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.

The school is seeking out a passionate team player to take on the role. A successful Behaviour Support Assistant will be working with students aged 11-16 years with social emotional and mental health difficulties, to support their personal development to provide a broad and balanced curriculum at Key Stage 3 by offering a wide range of academic subjects and subjects to support social, emotional and behaviour needs.

The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this long-term role, the successful Behaviour Assistant will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.

The position will involve working with students across Key stages 3 and 4 with Social Emotional and Mental Heath difficulties/ challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with challenging behaviours
• Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
• Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent
• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
