Senior IT Support Engineer

Contract | €280 - €320/day | Dublin

A client of mine is looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join their team in Dublin. This role involves providing advanced Level 2 and Level 3 support, leading troubleshooting efforts, and assisting with infrastructure projects within a hybrid environment. This position will suit a professional with a strong background in Windows and Microsoft systems and a proven track record in tackling complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Windows and Microsoft 365 environments, including advanced troubleshooting of issues related to Active Directory, networking, and Microsoft applications.

Oversee user management and permissions, and perform security audits across Active Directory and Office 365.

Lead configuration, deployment, and management of Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines and networking setups.

Support infrastructure projects such as server upgrades, network improvements, and software implementations.

Mentor and support junior team members, fostering skill development within the support team.

Collaborate with other departments on technical improvements, ensuring alignment with business goals.Requirements:

8+ years of experience in IT support, with expertise in Windows, Microsoft 365, and networking protocols.

Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, and basic to intermediate networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs).

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and task optimization.

Experience with IT security principles and implementation.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst, or CompTIA Network+ are desirable.
