About the role:
We are seeking a passionate Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team and support our children with booster sessions, interventions, and additional needs. This part-time role is ideal for someone who loves working with young children, has a knack for making learning fun, and is committed to helping each student overcome challenges and reach their full potential. You will work closely with the classroom teacher, helping to deliver targeted support in small groups or on a one-on-one basis, ensuring that all students feel encouraged and supported throughout their learning journey.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting, ideally with Key Stage 1.
• A patient, nurturing approach and a passion for helping children with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents.
• An understanding of SEN best practices and experience with booster sessions/interventions is preferred.
• Relevant qualifications in teaching assistance or childcare are advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support pupils during booster sessions and tailored interventions, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and other core areas.
• Assist in the planning and preparation of activities that meet each child’s learning needs.
• Provide additional support to children with special educational needs, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
• Help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
