About the role:
Join our wonderful Islington-based school as a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) focused on boosters, interventions, and Special Educational Needs. Be a vital part of a school community dedicated to developing confident, reflective, and creative learners who grow into valued members of society. As a Key Stage 2 TA, you’ll support children in small group and one-on-one settings, focusing on booster sessions and intervention activities to enhance learning in literacy and numeracy.
Working closely with classroom teachers, you’ll help provide targeted support to pupils with a variety of needs, including Special Educational Needs, to ensure they make measurable progress. This role is ideal for a compassionate, patient, and proactive individual who enjoys making a tangible impact on young lives.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly in Key Stage 2.
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of UK primary education curriculum is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering booster and intervention sessions to small groups and individual students.
• Supporting the class teacher in planning and implementing engaging lessons.
• Assisting students with their social and emotional development.
• Encouraging positive behavior and a love for learning among students.
• Monitoring and reporting progress of students to the teaching team.
