About the role: We’re looking for an enthusiastic, qualified Nursery Teacher with a passion for early childhood education to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Nursery Lead Teacher and EYFS Lead while taking charge of your own nursery class, creating a warm, engaging, and safe environment that supports young learners’ emotional, social, and educational development. You’ll implement and adapt activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to foster a love of learning and curiosity in each child. Additionally, you will collaborate with other team members to ensure continuity of care and learning, promoting smooth transitions for every child.
About the school: We are a vibrant, large primary school in Enfield with around 450 pupils from Nursery to Year 6, and we're excited to expand our provision! Application Requirements:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience with the EYFS framework.
• Be a kind, empathetic, and professional educator with strong communication skills.
• Have experience working in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
• Have a great sense of humour, resilience, and a positive attitude that brings a joyful presence to our school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and foundational learning.
• Establish a secure, comfortable environment that encourages children to be active learners.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents and caregivers to support each child’s development.
• Be a motivating leader within the classroom, guiding and supporting the teaching assistants and ensuring a harmonious team dynamic.
• Maintain excellent attendance and reliability, as well as participate in a half-day trial following a successful interview.
