Commissioning Engineer

East midlands, travel between 3-4 sites
3 months with view to extend
Waste Water experience essential
£400 - £410 per day
The Commissioning Engineer will oversee the commissioning, start-up, and initial operation of electrical, and process equipment on-site, ensuring all systems function according to specifications and performance requirements.
This role includes conducting functional tests, identifying and resolving issues, and coordinating corrective actions while documenting and communicating solutions to project and engineering teams.
The engineer will ensure all equipment and installations meet company standards, health and safety requirements, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role involves providing hands-on guidance, training, and support to operations staff and sub contractors on site to ensure a smooth handover and continuous facility operations.
The engineer will also develop and maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, including testing procedures, schedules, and results, ensuring accurate reporting and record-keeping. Finally, the role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and clients to maintain a cohesive approach to project execution and address any commissioning-related challenges effectively
