Simply Education is working with a well-established secondary school in Milton Keynes to recruit a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher. This full-time role involves teaching English Language and English Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking, while supporting students to achieve their academic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
Develop innovative and engaging lesson plans that inspire a passion for literature, language, and writing.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic success.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring that all learners are appropriately challenged and supported.
Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, self-expression, and collaboration.
Set high standards for behavior and academic effort, promoting a culture of respect and achievement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the English department and across the school to develop resources, share best practices, and contribute to the wider school goals.
Keep accurate records of student performance, assessments, and progress, and communicate effectively with parents and carers about student development.
Participate in professional development opportunities, staff meetings, and school events to further your teaching practice.
Applicant Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and GCSE English Language & Literature.
Passion for teaching English and inspiring students to excel in reading, writing, and critical thinking.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse abilities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
