Art Teacher - Birmingham

Our school in the Birmingham area is looking for an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our team, guiding students as they explore their artistic talents, develop technical skills, and express themselves through various mediums. Position: Art Teacher
Location: Birmingham Area
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Role Requirements:
Teaching Expertise: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and creative Art lessons for students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3 & KS4), adapting projects and techniques to meet diverse learning needs and artistic abilities.
Curriculum Development: Work with the Art department to develop and enhance curriculum resources, incorporating a wide range of artistic techniques, materials, and art history to inspire and educate students.
Student Support: Provide individualised feedback and encouragement to help students explore their creativity, refine their skills, and build confidence in their artistic abilities.
Assessment and Progress Tracking: Use varied assessment methods to monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and adapt lesson plans as needed.
Classroom Management: Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where students feel free to experiment, express themselves, and respect each other's creativity.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with new techniques, art movements, and best practices in art education.Qualifications and Experience:
QTS Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Subject Knowledge: Strong foundation in Art and Design, with proficiency in different artistic mediums, styles, and techniques.
DBS Certificate: Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate or be willing to undergo a DBS check.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a love of art.
