Primary Teaching Assistant - Wigan area

Tradewind are working with a 'good ' primary school and they are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible. You will be providing 1-1 support with children with SEN who are non verbal, have ASD and currently working at age 9-12 months

They are looking for someone who has previous experience and is familiar with both curriculums, as well as supporting with Phonics and is flexible across different year groups.

• Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
• Excellent interpersonal skills based on effective communication
• Passion to ensure every child succeeds and reaches their full potential
• An awareness of their own strengths and areas for development and a willingness to listen to, reflect constructively and ac upon, as appropriate, feedback from others.
• Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently.

Essentials:

• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
