Main Purpose of Technical Buyer / Material Controller

The successful candidate will play an integral role within the Prototype Engineering and Supply Chain Team, ensuring the smooth delivery of early phase prototype builds. Reporting to the Prototype Engineering Manager, this role includes responsibilities in technical buying and material control, focusing on both carry-over and non-stock part demand. Working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, this person will drive timely delivery of goods and ensure alignment with prototype build requirements.

Technical Buyer / Material Controller Opportunity

Do you have the experience and skills required to excel in a Technical Buyer / Material Controller role?

• Experience in procurement for stock and non-stock requirements within automotive or engineering environments.
• Track record of commercial success in automotive, motorsport, or engineering settings.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CAD systems (preferably CATIA) and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Supply chain and procurement experience, with knowledge of SAP preferred.
• Material planning and control experience is advantageous.
