Maths Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths Teacher to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Enfield. This is a full-time position starting in January and offers an opportunity to make a real impact on young people’s lives, providing them with essential skills and knowledge.

About the Role

As a Maths Teacher in a PRU setting, you will work with students who require additional support to access and engage in their education. You’ll have the opportunity to deliver tailored lessons to small groups, adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs, and foster an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, deliver, and assess maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum.

* Adapt teaching methods to support a range of learning needs and abilities.

* Provide a supportive and structured learning environment.

* Work closely with other staff members to implement individualized education plans.

* Monitor and report on student progress, helping to encourage resilience and academic achievement.

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Maths.

* Experience working with young people, ideally within a PRU or alternative provision setting.

* Strong understanding of behavior management and differentiated teaching.

* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and students.
