Job Opportunity: Health & Safety Officer (Construction)

Location: Kildare, Ireland

Start: Immediate

Contract: 7-Month Fixed Term

Salary: €50,000 - €75,000 per year

About the Role

We are recruiting a Health and Safety Officer for a prominent construction project. This position offers a great opportunity to make a direct impact on workplace safety by guiding managers and staff in health and safety compliance. The role supports achieving a zero-tolerance approach to safety incidents.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with team managers to implement and maintain the Group Safety Management System.

* Identify and support safety training needs for key team members.

* Oversee risk assessments, including lifting operations, emergency planning, and safety inductions.

* Actively engage in safety committee initiatives.

* Investigate incidents and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.

* Report regularly on health and safety performance to managers.

* Communicate safety protocols effectively across all project levels.

Qualifications & Skills

* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.

* 3+ years of construction experience in a safety role.

* Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.

* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
