1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistants
Various roles across Leeds, ASAP starts, Full-time/Fixed Term contracts and potential temp to perm
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistants to join our team, working with primary schools to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)
The role will involve providing 1:1 tailored support to children in Early Years to Key Stage 2, working both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to children with additional needs (Autism, ADHD, SEMH)
Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies
Support children with learning and social skills, encouraging independence and positive behaviour
Manage classroom interventions for children who may be struggling with emotional dysregulation
Foster a nurturing yet firm environment, with clear boundaries and expectations
Work with small groups of children to provide additional academic support or behaviour intervention
Person Specification:
Experience or strong interest in working with children with additional needs
A nurturing but assertive approach, with the ability to set clear boundaries
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A background in sports, psychology, or a personal interest in working with children with additional needs is highly desirable
Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children with SEN is a plus, but not essential
A passion for supporting children and helping them to achieve their full potential
