Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are seeking a motivated and organised Leading Hand to join their manufacturing client on a temporary to permanent basis.

Overseeing the yard operation, with 3 direct reports, our Alfreton client can offer an immediate start for the right candidate.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Ordering and controlling all stock and raw materials
• Carrying out regular stock counts of all materials
• Control all incoming deliveries and directing delivery drivers
• Management of fork lift trucks on site and ensuring all operators are trained and have the skills needed to complete their role
• Ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to
• Work in collaboration with all FLT operators to maintain stacking and storing of finished product
• Ensure yard space available for incoming deliveries
• Report daily to the production supervisor all yard based issues around stock control

About you:

• You must carry a 5 tonne counterbalance FLT license to be considered for this role
• Experience in a supervisory environment is highly advantageous
• Organised, friendly, with an aptitude to learn new tasks and skills
• Team player with the common goal at heart

Pay: £12.95 per hour

Hours: Days, 6am start, 48 hour week
