Minibus Driver | Full Time | Immediate Start

Remedy Education are currently working with our well-known client to recruit a number of minibus drivers to join their team on an ongoing basis. You will aid our client in the transportation of children or adults with special needs to/from schools or day centres in the Greenwich area. The routes may vary as our drivers are there to support the delivery of the service wherever required and a flexible attitude is definitely needed. This is such a rewarding role for someone who has the desire to make a real difference to people's lives.

Role: 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Start: ASAP

Location: Greenwich, South East London

Contract: Full time (Monday - Friday)

Rate: £14 - £17 per hour

The Role:

Minimum of 8 hour shift will be paid, even when fewer hours are worked.

Hours are between 08:00 - 15:15

Driving a 16 seat minibus collecting children/adults from homes and taking them to schools/day centres and home again.

Working with a Personal Assistant you will ensure the clients are conveyed in a safe and calm environment.

Taking on additional driving work during the day if required to support the smooth operation of the service.Key Responsibilities:

Transport clients to and from various destinations, including day centres, schools and homes.

Assist clients with boarding and disembarking from vehicles.

Ensure the safety and well-being of clients during transport.

Maintain accurate records and logs.

Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.Requirements:

Valid UK driving license including the D1 Entitlement - ESSENTIAL

No more than 6 points on your licence and for minor offences only (No DD, DU,IN,TT or mobile phone codes accepted)

Excellent customer service skills.

A MIDAS certificate is preferred but not essential as training can be provided.

A level of physical fitness is required to secure wheelchairs to the floor

using hooks.

A valid Enhanced DBS check, or the ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check.

Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.
