Job Title: Void Surveyor

Location: Lambeth

Hours per Week: 35 hours

Rate of Pay: £200 / day (Umbrella)

We are currently recruiting for a Void Surveyor to join the Resident Services team at Lambeth Council.

Main Duties:

Oversee maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs for council-owned properties, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.

Diagnose complex repair issues, create detailed specifications for repairs, and collaborate with contractors to ensure quality standards are met.

Consult with residents, address complaints, and ensure safeguarding principles are followed during property visits.

Monitor and enforce adherence to legal, safety, and council policies, conducting post-inspections and reporting on contractor performance and project outcomes.The Candidate Will Have:

Strong knowledge of building maintenance, repair diagnostics, and creating precise technical specifications, particularly for complex and structural issues.

Experience liaising with residents, contractors, and cross-functional teams, with the ability to resolve issues and deliver projects effectively.

Familiarity with relevant legislation (e.g., Health & Safety, Data Protection, Equalities) and the ability to uphold council policies, including safeguarding vulnerable individuals
