Job Title: Postal Delivery Worker
Location: Banbury
Salary: 16.58 p.h. to 17.29p.h
Hours: 8.00am to approximately 4.00pm Monday to Saturday (with a day off during the week)
Or late shift 12 midday to 7 pm Monday to Saturday. Sunday 10am to 6pm (if worked)

We are currently recruiting 10 X Postal Delivery Workers to work on a temporary assignment, supporting Royal Mail at their Banbury Delivery Office. 5 required on AM's, 5 required on PM's.

You will be responsible for delivering both post and parcels to residential and commercial properties quickly and efficiently, walking on a dedicated route which can be up to 10 miles per shift with completion required within a set timescale, whilst maintaining high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service. Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office and delivering parcel via foot or van.

The role is working 5 shifts per week which will include Saturdays, shift times will be approximately 8am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday with a rest day during the week, or 12 midday until 7pm, Monday to Saturday if on the PM shift. Sunday shifts are optional, if worked the hours will be 10am to 6pm.

Please be aware that this position will involve delivering post on foot or may involve driving Royal Mail vans, therefore you must have a valid UK driving licence and the ability to drive vans.

You will need to pass a security vetting process and have the following skills and experience:

• Hold a valid UK Driving Licence - with no more than 6 points for minor offences, No DR or IN endorsements, for insurance purposes (Driving licences must be registered to your current home address)
• Demonstrate excellent customers service and communication skills.
• Upbeat and self-motivated
• Love of the outdoors, whatever the weather
• Good levels of fitness to meet demands of the role.
• Excellent organisation skills whilst being extremely methodical.
• Resilience and flexibility
• Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently whilst adhering to company procedures and regulations.
• Have good knowledge of the Banbury area and surrounding villages.
• Previous delivery experience would be an advantage.
