About the Role

Timeless Recruitment is seeking an experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join a leading construction team in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working on large-scale RC (Reinforced Concrete) frame projects and will bring a strong background in carpentry and formwork. You ll be responsible for constructing and dismantling formwork for concrete structures, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Shuttering & Formwork Construction: Build and dismantle shuttering and formwork for concrete structures, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
• Technical Drawings: Interpret and work from technical drawings to ensure all measurements, layouts, and material usage are correct.
• Material Handling: Select and prepare materials necessary for formwork, ensuring they are ready for concrete pouring.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards, making any adjustments to achieve the best possible result.
• Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Key Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Physical fitness to meet the demands of construction site duties.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter, especially on large-scale projects.
• NVQ qualification in Carpentry (preferred).
• 2 years experience in Formwork Carpentry (preferred).
