Job Description

Abatec is assisting their client, a highly reputable Civil Engineering contractor, with the recruitment of a freelance Senior Estimator. Our client is delivering highways and earthworks projects across South West and requires an Estimator with a Civil Engineering background and experience in developing tender strategies, producing activity schedules, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) through to tender submission.

As a Senior Estimator you will:

• Prepare budgets, cost plans, and BoQs
• Appraise tender documents
• Attend strategy & opportunity meetings with the project team
• Prepare material and sub-contractor enquires enquiries as well as select prospective subcontractors
• Completion of tender documentation and submission of the tender
• Initiate technical queries and ensure design is sufficiently developed to ensure accurate costings

Our client requires a Senior Estimator with:

• Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Strong Communications Skills
• Experience working on Civil Engineering projects in a similar position
• Strong IT skills
• NEC & JCT experience

Salary and benefits include:

• 375 - 425 p/day LTD
