School Chef

15.50 per hour, YO51, 7am - 2pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, 28 days holiday, free parking, Temporary role with the possibility of permanent

We are looking for a chef to join the team of this village primary school:

• Preparing and cooking food from a set menu
• Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
• Responsible for ordering and kitchen paperwork
• Supervising the team of catering assistants

We would expect the successful school chef to have experience of running a small kitchen, or their own section of a bigger kitchen. You will need to have a good understanding of food safety and allergens.

This would be an ideal role if you have worked as a cook or chef in a professional kitchen.

This role will require an enhanced DBS certificate.

You will be working at a local primary school as part of their kitchen team. Due to the location it would be useful to have your own transport.
