KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant - January 2025 - Havering, London

About the Role

Ideally we are seeking a passionate, understanding, empathetic and enthusiastic KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join this supportive and dynamic role. This is an exciting opportunity to work 1:1 with students in KS1 with ASD helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 support for students with ASD needs, both in and outside the classroom

Assist in the development and implementation of EHCPs

Building and Maintaining successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration

Create a safe and stimulating environment for KS1 SEN children's development

Collaborating with staff to ensure the child's progress and wellbeingRequirements

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Previous Experience working with ASD (Desirable but not essential)

TA experience (Willing to work with graduates)

Flexibility to adapt to individual needs of Autism

Relevant Qualifications in education (Desirable but not essential)This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring psychologist or therapist looking to gain experience within the SEN sector.
