About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a new highways project in the Kettering area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with principal contractors and extensive knowledge of temporary works management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the delivery of a highways project, ensuring it is completed on time and within budget.
• Managing and coordinating all site activities in line with project requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Liaising with the client, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Managing temporary works and ensuring all associated risks are mitigated.
• Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance to senior management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on highways or civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of principal contractor duties and responsibilities.
• Demonstrable knowledge of temporary works coordination and management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS (Manager level), and Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor certification (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
