Adult Social Worker - Reablement Team

£32 per hour ltd umbrella

The London Borough of Bromley, Adult Social Care Services (Reablement) are looking for a Social Worker to join our friendly and hard-working team. The reablement team is on a transformation journey, and we are seeking a talented and experienced social worker to join us to support the changes that are taking place and assist the team in moving forward.

Social workers will be expected to visit clients face to face and the current hybrid arrangement is 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work according to the relevant legislation for people in need of support. To have the ability to assess and review people in receipt of care and support, the candidate will also need to have excellent report writing and computer skills. Record keeping is a vital and necessary part of the job. Being able to communicate effectively is central to the role.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, committed, and hard working with a willingness to work to quality standards. They must have experience of working within a multidisciplinary framework and need to have good negotiating skills. The successful candidate will be working with Partner Agencies and will be required to maintain good working relationships. They will be required to undertake Care Act assessments, MCA s and best Interest assessments and may also be required to provide supervision/support to less experienced staff. Some experience of supervision is desirable but not essential.

Applicants must hold a Degree in Social Work, (or equivalent)

You will demonstrate an ability to use information technology effectively and in a timely manner.

You will demonstrate appropriate understanding, knowledge, and skills in valuing equality, diversity and inclusion.

You must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
