Temporary Works Manager - Highway Improvement Works - Downham Market

A leading civil engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Temporary Works Manager to join our team working on a major highway improvement project near Downham Market. This challenging and rewarding role will involve the design, planning, and implementation of temporary works, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the project.

About the Role:

As Temporary Works Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, implementation, and monitoring of temporary works throughout the project. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Temporary Works Design: Developing safe and efficient designs for temporary works, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks associated with temporary works.
• Construction Planning: Integrating temporary works into the overall construction plan, ensuring a seamless and efficient construction process.
• Temporary Works Installation & Supervision: Overseeing the installation and removal of temporary works, ensuring they are installed correctly and safely.
• Inspection and Monitoring: Conducting regular inspections of temporary works to ensure their continued safety and effectiveness.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all temporary works, including design calculations, risk assessments, installation records, and inspection reports.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven Experience: You possess a minimum of Number years of experience as a Temporary Works Manager or equivalent role in the civil engineering sector, with a proven track record of successfully delivering temporary works for highway projects.
• Technical Expertise: You have a strong understanding of temporary works principles, design, and construction, including knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
• Risk Management: You are skilled in risk assessment and mitigation, able to identify and address potential hazards associated with temporary works.
• Communication and Collaboration: You are an effective communicator, able to clearly convey technical information and collaborate effectively with project managers, site engineers, and contractors.
