Engineering services client (Defence/ Nuclear) – Contract - Hybrid working ( 2 days WFH) – Client Side (South East England) – 6 months - Inside IR35

Clients’ full management service for a major Defence Contractor. Providing support to CAD, BIM, Surveying, Compliance, Data Analytics, Handover, & Tooling with a team of approximately 70 people.

As a client-side CAD Manager, you will report to the Operations Manager and support both the Strategic Service Manager and the Integration and Efficiency Manager.

You will support a customer base of Manufacturing Engineers, Operational Facilities, Production Agencies, and/or Programmes across the company by providing equipment that meets the needs of manufacturing processes within delegated areas of responsibility.

This role requires an on-site presence of up to 2/3 days per week.

Key Objectives

• Development and implementation of replacement PDM/PLM data management software package working to a delivery program to fulfil clients’ requirements

• Development and implementation of Mechanical CAD (Process Plant & Equipment) Standards in line with client requirements.

• Alignment of Mechanical CAD Service in line with a suite of standards & client procedures.

About You

• Experience in Digital Integration of Mechanical CAD deliverables with other discipline systems, i.e. Asset Management, BIM, Facilities CAD, GIS

• Understanding configuration for asset lifecycle management

• Awareness of using Data visualisation software like Power BI

• Demonstrate an understanding of technical standards and regulatory requirements for data management

• Existing SC clearance will be preferred, if not, candidates must be willing and able to complete security clearance, potentially up to DV level

• Advanced knowledge of the following:

- Modelling principles

- Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD other software packages

- Equipment Data and its application within the sector

- Hierarchical Assembly Data

- Common data environment and Electronic Data Management Systems such as Vault, Teamcenter
