SEN Teaching Assistant Islington, N7 90- 110 Long-Term to Permanent January 2025

LTF Recruitment is seeking a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young boy and girl with additional needs in a Year 3 class at a warm and inclusive primary school in Islington, N7.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to the two pupils, helping them engage in lessons and develop key skills.
• Assist with emotional regulation, social interactions, and confidence-building activities.
• Adapt learning materials to meet the children's needs, ensuring progress and inclusion.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and report on progress.

Requirements:

• Experience working with primary-aged children, especially those with SEN.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families.
• Relevant qualifications in education or child development (desirable but not essential).
