Salary: £87 - £108 per day

GSL Education are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Daily Supply Teacher to work with one of our client secondary schools in Sunderland.

As a Daily Supply Teacher (Secondary), you will cover a range of subjects across the secondary school curriculum in the absence of regular teaching staff. You will be responsible for ensuring that students remain engaged with their learning and follow the planned lessons. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety, adaptability, and the chance to make an immediate impact in the classroom.

• Supervise and deliver lessons across various subjects, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged.
• Follow the lesson plans provided by the absent teacher to maintain continuity in students' learning.
• Manage classroom behavior in a positive and effective manner.
• Provide support to students with varying learning needs, helping them stay focused and complete their work.
• Foster a safe and respectful classroom environment that encourages learning and personal development.
• Ensure students are motivated, engaged, and working toward their academic goals.

• A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to work in different subject areas.
• Previous experience in teaching secondary school students is essential.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
• A proactive and engaging attitude toward teaching and student development.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students quickly.
• A passion for education and the ability to inspire students to achieve their best.

• Competitive daily pay rates of £87 - £108, depending on experience.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV and two relevant references from within the last two years.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
