Tradewind Recruitment are working with a SEN School in Walsall who are looking for a caretaker to start in January.

We are seeking an individual who:

• Has experience in caretaking and excellent DIY and repair skills
• Is self-motivated and able to work under pressure, using their own initiative
• Is honest and trustworthy
• Is able to identify and prioritise their work effectively and organise their own work schedule, ensuring that all jobs are completed to the highest standard
• Takes pride in their work and the condition of the school and grounds
• Has a flexible, positive and 'can-do' attitude and is confident in using a computer
• Enhanced DBS requirement
• This post will involve lone working

You will be responsible for:

• Overall provision of security, janitorial and cleaning at the school
• The management of repairs and maintenance of the school site
• Monitoring the work of external contractors on site
• Sourcing materials and managing a small budget
• Some general maintenance at our partner school, Kings Norton Nursery School, as required.
