Behaviour Mentor Opportunity in North London

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a secondary school in North London to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. This rewarding role focuses on supporting students with behavioural needs, keeping them on track academically, and providing crucial social and emotional guidance.

The Role

We're looking for a confident, experienced Behaviour Mentor who is:

Empathetic and assertive

Skilled in managing challenging behaviour

Strong in administrative tasks (knowledge of SIMS for logging student progress is a plus)Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one classroom support for students

Maintain a visible presence throughout the school to encourage positive behaviour

Promote good behaviour and minimise low-level disruption

Manage and de-escalate incidents, equipping students with strategies for self-regulation

Support students in the isolation room, helping them stay focused on classwork

Oversee and manage detention sessions

Position Details

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Term-time only, until July 2025

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am - 4:15 pm

Pay: £95-£105 per day (dependent on experience)
