This school is a mixed 11 - 18 comprehensive school based in Monmouthshire with over 900 pupils. The school encourages the pupils to take a proactive and creative approach to learning allowing them to develop. The leadership team have a clear vision for the school and communicate it very well to create an inclusive ethos and a strong community feeling.
Your new role
Starting in September, you will be a key part of the dedicated Maths department, including full teaching responsibilities such as:
Teach KS3 - KS4 Nurture a range of learning abilitiesStaff meetings Parent's evenings, Pastoral responsibilities, Planning and preparation of lessonsMarking and assessment. This is your chance to put your mark on a school and implement success through your teaching.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience of teaching Maths in a secondary school. Qualified teaching Status or PCET with Maths experience.Proven track record of helping students.Strong classroom management skills.Registered with the Education Workforce Council. Hold a DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one.NQT's encouraged to apply!
