Job Description Summary
The candidate should be knowledgeable on P6, with good dynamics and communication/coordination capabilities, very comfortable with side construction environment (hands on), also acquainted with electrical substations, at least AC substations. Knowledge on HVDC converter station would be a plus.
The Project site planner is a member of the project core team:
· She / he owns & drives the project construction execution schedule to maximize results, facilitating delivery of the project on time, within budget, in conformity with the contract whilst managing the customer expectations.
· She / he is part of the Project Controls function and is expected to manage project schedules in accordance with the established global process, tools, metrics and operating rhythms.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
· She/he is key member of the project team providing site schedule status to the Site Manager & site team, Project Lead Planner & PM, from site establishment, earth works, civil, erection of electrical & mechanical, up to commissioning and hand over.
· Develops and maintains the construction & commissioning schedule by integrating inputs from all functions, units and third parties contributing to the project
· Ensure proper linkages in schedule to show all interdependencies between contributing parties, logic sequence, execution strategy, resources constraints etc.
· Develops some detailed L4 /L5 schedule, and tracking mechanism on some key commodities (concrete, cable pulling etc.) to ensure an appropriate coordination of the work from the various stakeholders at site. These level of details are foundational to the daily site coordination meeting which address the priorities and targets of the day. And they are the basis for the progress tracking and the pacing of the works at site.
· Ensure consistency of this site level of detail with the P6 general time schedule (whether integrated to P6 or not).
· Ensure periodic schedule updates through the entire construction & commissioning phase obtaining inputs from all project contributors, and checking randomly at site the actual progress.
· Drive and challenge progress, agree forecast and develop mitigations / catch up plans.
· Ensure schedule analysis through various means (S curve, commodity curve, OTD, Say/Do ratio, overplanning, resource loading, productivity…) to determine project schedule trends and related risks & opportunities then work with project team members to drive mitigation strategies. Provides evidence to PM to advocate for support as appropriate.
· Provides weekly site look ahead aligned with contract schedule, clearly communicating potential and real risk and driving the project priorities
· Identifies engineering & procurement prerequisites and help anticipate blockers with wider project team and third parties
· Provides contractually required customer site reporting and is able to communicate directly with customers on scheduling matters
· Generates “what if” scenarios to optimize execution and works with project teams to evaluate feasibility
· Aligns with cost controlling function to ensure clear alignment between cost and schedule to ensure accurate
· Maintains a register of potential schedule and cost risks in collaboration with the Risk Manager.
· Support change order analysis with schedule analytics and forecasts
· Load resources into the project schedule as appropriate
· Support disputes and analysis of claims
· Is the key communication player, teaming with the Site Manager, to ensure all parties know where the project site activities stands, what are the priorities and what work shall be executed every day.
Educational/Experience Requirements
· Degree qualified either in engineering or project management with 2-3 years minimum of experience in planning management, including 1 year in electrical substations site activities.
· Excellent interpersonal skills in a site construction environment / good communicator / anticipation and problem-solving aptitude / team spirit / resilient
· Analytical / contributes to the decision making. Provides factual element to support decisions.
· Application of planning control principles (WBS, critical path, progress)
· Application of planning tools (Primavera and/or MS-project)
· Autonomous and reliable
· Customer focus
