About the role: Are you an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to inspire and support young learners? Join a vibrant and supportive primary school in Havering as a full-time HLTA! Starting in January 2025, this role involves working across Key Stages 1 and 2, providing high-quality teaching and learning support to help children achieve their full potential.
Your role will include covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, leading small group interventions, and supporting individual pupils to ensure no child is left behind. Application Requirements:
• HLTA status or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience working with Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 pupils in a UK school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
• A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Leading small group and one-to-one interventions to support pupils with varying needs.
• Assisting in the planning and preparation of engaging learning activities.
• Supporting children’s social and emotional development.
• Collaborating with teachers and staff to create an inclusive, inspiring learning environment.
