Job Opportunity: Workstream Lead - Temporary Contract 🌟
Position: Workstream Lead
Contract Duration: ASAP - 8 Month Contract, with the possibility of an extension.
Location: GL1 2TG
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Hybrid working, with 1 day in the office per week.
Pay Rate: £515.92 Per Day (PAYE), UMBRELLA is also available.
Role Overview:
This is a significant role which will help GCC capitalise on its new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The role holder will lead and manage the implementation of the Procurement workstream for a series of projects including a new Ariba SAP S/4 HANA ERP system. They will ensure the implementation by enabling opportunities for automation through well-defined processes and a seamless experience for all users. The role holder will be part of the One Programme leadership team and manage a range of internal staff and contractors, partner with GCC's identified stakeholders, and optimise the accuracy of data and the adoption of the ERP system.
This is a hybrid role with at least one day a week office-based.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will manage the workstream to develop a target operating model for the service to support the new ERP solution (SAP Cloud). The key objectives are:
Reviewing the current support model (technical and non-technical) user experience (pain points and opportunity assessment), customer access and impacts on ways of working.
Help the Council scope, design and develop a new set of common design principles for support services in G.CC
Help the Council scope, design and develop a new technical and non-technical support mo.del
Identify essential functional design changes which enable a new support model for day 1
Identify process, training, skills, capacity, technology and change gaps required to meet the new operating m.odel
Develop a project to transition to the new operating model and close the identified gaps before going live (March 25).
Identify the future roadmap activities and timelines which need to be managed post-go-live to deliver phase 2 of the new support service.s TOM
Identify future efficiencies, process improvements and benefits which can be realised in Phase 1 and 2Skills and Experience:
Experience in large-scale SAP Ariba implementations and transformation programmes is highly desirable.
Experience in leading a workstream implementation within a complex environment and including system changes is desirable.
Experience in designing processes through to their implementation.
Leading and developing team members for enhanced effectiveness and future career paths.
Experience across all functional areas within their specialism and an understanding of their relative functional strategy and its deliverables.Please note that this is a hybrid role with one day in the office per week, and initially on a Fixed Term Contract basis - please only apply if you are comfortable with both aspects.
