Role Overview: SEN Teaching Assistant
In this critical role, you'll collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to provide targeted support for students with additional needs. The school's SEN program is dedicated to supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other complex needs, ensuring every learner reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
In-Class Support: Assist teachers in delivering lessons, ensuring inclusivity and engagement for all students.
Intervention Programs: Lead small-group sessions and one-on-one interventions tailored to students' needs.
Student Development: Support learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN), and EAL (English as an Additional Language).
IEP Implementation: Contribute to the design and execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting strategies to meet specific goals.
Progress Monitoring: Maintain detailed records of student development and provide feedback to staff and parents.
Pastoral Support: Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment, addressing both academic and emotional challenges.What We're Looking For:
